Instructions
  1. Peel the potato and cut it into thin fries.
  2. Soak the fries in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan or pot over medium-high heat until it reaches 375°F (190°C).
  4. Add the fries to the hot oil and fry for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the fries from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  6. Sprinkle salt over the fries to taste.
  7. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, garlic powder, and onion powder to make the dip sauce.
