Ingredients
  • 250 grams frozen green peas
  • 250 grams paneer cubes
  • 2 medium-sized tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 medium-sized onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed
Instructions
  1. Heat the oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds. Let them splutter for a few seconds.
  2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute or two.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
  5. Add the coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  6. Add the frozen green peas and paneer cubes. Mix well.
  7. Add enough water to make a gravy-like consistency. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes on low heat.
  8. Serve hot with rice or Indian breads.
Note
  • Fresh green peas can also be used instead of frozen ones. If using fresh peas, boil them for a few minutes before adding to the gravy.
  • Paneer can be pan-fried before adding to the gravy to give it a slightly crispy texture.
  • Adjust the spice level according to your preference.
  • This dish can be made vegan by substituting paneer with tofu or other vegan alternatives.
