  • 1/2 cup Basmati rice
  • 1/2 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, beans, etc.)
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 cup water
Instructions
  1. Soak Basmati rice in water for 20 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  3. Add onion and ginger-garlic paste and sauté until the onion turns golden brown.
  4. Add the mixed vegetables and cook until they become tender.
  5. Add garam masala powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Drain the water from the soaked rice and add it to the pan.
  7. Add water and mix well. Bring it to a boil.
  8. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer for 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
