  • 1/4 block of firm tofu, pressed and drained
  • 1/2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • breadcrumbs (panko breadcrumbs work well for extra crispiness)
  • Cooking spray or olive oil for spraying/brushing
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into small nugget-sized pieces.
  3. In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place the breadcrumbs in another shallow bowl.
  5. Dredge each tofu piece in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  6. Dip the floured tofu into the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  7. Place the coated tofu nuggets on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Lightly spray or brush the nuggets with cooking spray or olive oil to help them crisp up in the oven.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the tofu nuggets are golden brown and crispy.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
