  • 1 cup drumstick pieces (cut into 2-inch segments)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
  1. Clean the drumsticks, remove the outer layer, and cut them into 2-inch segments.
  2. In a pan, heat oil. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and the oil starts to separate.
  5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
  6. Add the drumstick pieces to the pan and coat them with the spice mixture.
  7. Pour in a cup of water, cover the pan, and let it simmer until the drumsticks are tender. Stir occasionally.
  8. Adjust salt and spice levels according to taste. If needed, add more water for the desired consistency.
  9. Allow the curry to simmer for a few more minutes, allowing the flavors to blend. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

  • You can add a squeeze of lemon juice for a tangy flavor. Adjust the spice level based on your preference.
