  • 300 grams chicken thighs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 5 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 60 milliliters milk
  • 5 tablespoons potato starch
  • 30 grams butter
  • 5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 5 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 60 milliliters water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon gochugaru (Korean chili powder)
Instructions
  1. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a bowl, combine minced garlic and milk. Add the seasoned chicken thighs to the bowl and let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Drain the excess milk from the chicken thighs. Coat each piece of chicken evenly with potato starch.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  5. Add the coated chicken thighs to the skillet and cook until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 5-6 minutes per side.
  6. In a separate saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic for the honey soy garlic sauce. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. In another saucepan, melt butter and add minced garlic. Stir in gochujang, water, sugar, soy sauce, and gochugaru for the yangnyeom sauce. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  8. Once the chicken thighs are cooked, brush them with the honey soy garlic sauce and yangnyeom sauce.
  9. Serve the honey soy garlic chicken hot with steamed rice and your favorite vegetables.
