Ingredients
  • 200 grams boneless chicken breast
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional, for a hint of sweetness)
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, parsley, salt, black pepper, and honey (if using).
  2. Place the chicken breast in a shallow dish or ziplock bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours for enhanced flavor.
  3. Heat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly grease it with oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Place the marinated chicken breast on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 74°C. Avoid overcooking to keep the chicken tender and juicy.
  5. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve hot with a wedge of lemon for extra zest.
Note
  • This recipe is great for meal prep and can be made ahead by marinating the chicken in advance.
  • Serve it with a side of salad or roasted vegetables for a wholesome starter.
