Ingredients
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed
  • Oil for cooking
Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and chopped mint leaves.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Add ginger, garlic, green chili and mix well.
  4. Gradually add water to the flour mixture to form a soft and smooth dough. Knead well for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll them into balls.
  6. Take one dough ball and roll it out into a circle using a rolling pin.
  7. Heat a griddle (tawa) over medium heat. Place the rolled-out paratha on the tawa and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side.
  8. Apply oil on both sides and cook until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Serve hot with yogurt or pickle.
Note
  • You can adjust the amount of mint leaves and green chili according to your taste preferences.
  • You can also add other herbs like coriander or spices like cumin powder to the dough for added flavor.
  • Make sure the dough is kneaded well to ensure the parathas turn out soft and fluffy.
  • You can also make the parathas in advance and reheat them in a toaster or on the griddle before serving.
