Ingredients
  • 1 large sweet potato
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional seasonings: paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, or cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Set your oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Wash and peel the sweet potato.
  3. Cut into even stick-shaped fries, approximately 1/4 inch thick to ensure they cook evenly.
  4. Toss the sweet potato fries in a bowl with olive oil and salt. Add any additional seasonings you prefer, such as a sprinkle of paprika for a smoky flavor or cinnamon for a sweet twist.
  5. Spread the fries in a single layer on the baking sheet, making sure they aren't touching too much. This helps them become crispier.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until they are golden and crispy. Halfway through, flip the fries to ensure even cooking.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. They are best served warm and can be accompanied by your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup or a homemade yogurt dip.
Note
  • Feel free to add chopped herbs like chives or parsley or green coriander for added flavor. For a heartier meal, include diced ham or sautéed vegetables.
