Sweet Potato Fries
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Set your oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
-
Wash and peel the sweet potato.
-
Cut into even stick-shaped fries, approximately 1/4 inch thick to ensure they cook evenly.
-
Toss the sweet potato fries in a bowl with olive oil and salt. Add any additional seasonings you prefer, such as a sprinkle of paprika for a smoky flavor or cinnamon for a sweet twist.
-
Spread the fries in a single layer on the baking sheet, making sure they aren't touching too much. This helps them become crispier.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until they are golden and crispy. Halfway through, flip the fries to ensure even cooking.
-
Remove from oven and let cool slightly. They are best served warm and can be accompanied by your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup or a homemade yogurt dip.
Note
- Feel free to add chopped herbs like chives or parsley or green coriander for added flavor. For a heartier meal, include diced ham or sautéed vegetables.
