  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 water
  • 1/2 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn, beans, capsicum, etc.), chopped
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped spring onions for garnish
Instructions
  1. Rinse the rice in cold water and soak it in 2 cups of water for 20-30 minutes.
  2. Cook the rice in a rice cooker or on the stovetop until it is fully cooked and fluffy. Let it cool down completely.
  3. Heat a wok or a large pan over high heat and add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
  4. Add minced garlic and grated ginger and fry for 10-15 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add chopped onions and stir-fry until they turn translucent.
  6. Add mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are cooked but still crunchy.
  7. Add cooked rice, soy sauce, white pepper powder, and salt to taste. Mix well and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the rice is heated through and everything is well combined.
  8. Turn off the heat and garnish with chopped spring onions.

  • You can use any vegetables of your choice for this recipe. Just make sure to chop them into small pieces so that they cook evenly.
  • If you want to add some protein to your fried rice, you can add some scrambled eggs or tofu.
  • You can adjust the amount of soy sauce and white pepper powder according to your taste preference.
  • Make sure to use cold rice for this recipe. If you use hot rice, it will turn out sticky and clumpy.
