Instructions

Prepare the Masala Marinade

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, lemon juice, salt, and oil. Mix well to create a smooth marinade.

Marinate the Chicken

  1. Add the chicken to the bowl and coat it thoroughly with the marinade. Cover and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (for best results, marinate for 2-3 hours in the refrigerator).

Grill the Chicken

  1. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Lightly oil the grill grates or pan to prevent sticking.
  2. Place the marinated chicken on the grill and cook for 7-10 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has grill marks. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
  3. If using an oven, preheat to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Note

  • Longer marination enhances flavor, so try to marinate the chicken for at least 2 hours.
  • Adjust the red chili powder to your taste.
  • If you don’t have a grill, you can use a stovetop grill pan or bake the chicken in an oven.
  • For a richer flavor, add 1-2 tablespoons of cream to the marinade.
