Instructions
Prepare the Masala Marinade
-
In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, lemon juice, salt, and oil. Mix well to create a smooth marinade.
Marinate the Chicken
-
Add the chicken to the bowl and coat it thoroughly with the marinade. Cover and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (for best results, marinate for 2-3 hours in the refrigerator).
Grill the Chicken
-
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Lightly oil the grill grates or pan to prevent sticking.
-
Place the marinated chicken on the grill and cook for 7-10 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has grill marks. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
-
If using an oven, preheat to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Note
- Longer marination enhances flavor, so try to marinate the chicken for at least 2 hours.
- Adjust the red chili powder to your taste.
- If you don’t have a grill, you can use a stovetop grill pan or bake the chicken in an oven.
- For a richer flavor, add 1-2 tablespoons of cream to the marinade.
