Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface. If using crescent roll dough, press together the seams to form one large rectangle.
-
Cut the dough into two equal-sized rectangles.
-
On one half of each rectangle, spread 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce, leaving a small border around the edges.
-
Place 3 slices of pepperoni on top of the sauce on each rectangle.
-
Sprinkle 1/8 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the pepperoni on each rectangle. Add Italian seasoning if desired.
-
Fold the other half of the dough over the toppings to form a pocket. Press the edges together firmly to seal.
-
Brush the tops of the pockets with olive oil.
-
Place the pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
-
While the pizza pockets are baking, prepare the cheese. In a small microwave-safe bowl, mix together the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
-
Microwave the cheese mixture on high for 30-60 seconds, or until melted and bubbly.
-
Once the pizza pockets are done, remove them from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
-
Serve the pepperoni pizza pockets with the melted cheese on the side for dipping.
