Ingredients
Instructions
-
In a bowl, mix red chili powder, Kashmiri chili paste, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, cumin powder, vinegar, olive oil, salt, and honey (if using). Adjust the consistency with a bit of water if needed.
-
Wash and pat dry the chicken wings.
-
Rub the marinade generously over the wings, ensuring each piece is coated well.
-
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (preferably overnight for deeper flavor).
-
Preheat the grill or oven to 200°C.
-
Place the marinated wings on a grill rack or baking tray lined with foil.
-
Grill for 10 minutes on each side, basting with leftover marinade.
-
Ensure the wings are cooked through, with a slight char for extra flavor. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature (should reach 75°C).
-
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
-
Serve hot with a side of Peri Peri dipping sauce or mint yogurt dip.
Note
- You can adjust the spice level by reducing the chili powder or adding more honey.
- If you don’t have a grill, you can pan-fry the wings or bake them in the oven.
- For a smokier flavor, add a touch of smoked paprika or grill over charcoal.
