Ingredients
Instructions
-
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
-
Set aside half the marinade for basting and mix the remaining half with the cornstarch slurry. Heat it in a small pan until it thickens into a glaze.
-
Place the chicken pieces in a another bowl or zip-lock bag and pour the non-thickened portion of the marinade over them.
-
Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
-
Thread the marinated chicken onto the soaked skewers.
-
Preheat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high heat.
-
Grill the skewers for 5-7 minutes on each side, brushing with the thickened teriyaki glaze, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
-
Transfer the skewers to a plate, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions, and serve immediately.
Note
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
- Serve with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and chopped scallions for added flavor and presentation.
