Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Beat the eggs with salt, and pepper in a small bowl until well combined. Prepare your choice of cheese and any other optional ingredients you wish to include.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the butter or oil, swirling to coat the pan.
  3. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet. Let the eggs cook for a moment, then gently lift the edges with a spatula, allowing the uncooked egg to flow underneath. Repeat this around the pan until the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny on top
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheese (and other optional ingredients if using) over half of the omelet. Let cook for another minute until the cheese begins to melt and the eggs are nearly set.
  5. Carefully fold the omelet in half using the spatula, enclosing the cheese. Let it sit in the pan for another 30 seconds to ensure the cheese is melted and the eggs are fully set.
  6. Slide the omelet onto a plate. Serve immediately for the best experience.

Note

  • Feel free to add chopped herbs like chives or parsley or green coriander for added flavor. For a heartier meal, include diced ham or sautéed vegetables.
